Dear Mount Sinai Middle School Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Mount Sinai Middle School!  Being principal of Mount Sinai Middle School has allowed me to live my passion and use my vast experience to help students and families here in Mount Sinai.

“For Excellence, We Strive” is the sentiment that clearly depicts our philosophy here at Mount Sinai Middle School.  This strong and meaningful quote has served me well in life and it is my honor to work with students on a daily basis to encourage them to reach their full potential.

I am honored to share that I graduated from West Point Academy in 1985 and served as an Army Quartermaster Officer for several years.  Following my experience in the U.S. Army, I began my educational journey which led to a position as a 5th grade teacher for a few years in William Floyd and ultimately to my home, Mount Sinai.  I had the pleasure of teaching 5th grade for 7 years here in Mount Sinai and following that, Assistant Principal at the Elementary School, Assistant Principal at the middle school and ultimately, Principal at Mount Sinai Middle School. This experience coupled with many years in public education, has enabled me to share many unique experiences with our students.

It is our goal at Mount Sinai Middle School to build strong relationships with students and families.  In that spirit, we continue to share the amazing educational experiences happening at the school through the Mount Sinai Middle School Newsletter which is posted weekly on our website.  It is of the utmost importance for us to share in the celebration of learning that is occurring daily at Mount Sinai Middle School.

Our teachers and dedicated staff work together to enrich the lives of each student that walks through the doors of Mount Sinai Middle School. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school fosters greater success for our students.  We are excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide a safe and productive learning environment. I encourage you to stop in or call me to share ideas, concerns, or questions.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Hine
